4 months ago[PSA: Alabama jokes are not funny!]
Hi, everyone! My name’s Leafa, and I’m here with an important public service announcement.
You might remember me as Suguha, that little sister from that one anime you used to love before it got weird. But today, I’m not here to talk about my complicated family tree. No, today I want to talk about something far more pressing: Alabama jokes. Yeah, those ones.
Now, I get it. They’re an easy target. Someone says "Alabama," and suddenly the room erupts with cousin-marrying punchlines. But let me tell you something: those jokes? They’re played out. They’re more tired than jokes about Klein’s lack of screen time. And honestly, they just make me uncomfortable.
Since the internet apparently entitles everyone to an opinion, who better to address this issue than me, a Japanese gamer who has literally never been to Alabama? But more importantly, as someone who’s been ridiculed for my own relationship with my cousin/adoptive brother, I want to remind you all that stereotyping entire communities based on outdated memes is lazy. It’s uninspired. It’s like copying and pasting someone else’s meme and calling it your own.
So, the next time someone mentions Alabama, think twice before reaching for that low-hanging fruit. Unless, of course, it’s a rare steak at a BBQ—which is actually something Alabama should be famous for.
Thanks for listening, folks! And remember: an Alabama incest joke isn’t funny—it’s just awkward. More awkward than discovering you’re related to that cute boy you met online.
